With CIV 6 being the most intensive, I managed 65-75C CPU temperatures, and 65C GPU temperatures at 3000x4000 for hours and hours and hours. I tried Streets of Rage 4, Shadow Tactics, and Civilization 6. Note that battery estimating applications such as battery bar pro cannot deal with having two batteries in one device especially when it comes off. Overall the design is more hungry than my Zenbook UX533FN, like due to having a 4k display vs 1080p. I'm estimating about 10 hours of reddit/youtube use, and 2.5 hours of the same kind of use on the tablet portion with 75% screen brightness and backlit keyboard off. debating whether or not I should get a dbrand skin for just the bottom alone (considering potentially reduced thermal performance). The bottom feet are really thin and I think the base will scratch. The base has no give or flex, but I would be careful with the tablet bending under pressure. By far the best keyboard I've ever used on a laptop. I think most surface books have a very very very subtle curve. Looking at the device from behind, where the tablet meets the base, its not completely even, with the middle the seam being slightly larger. Not really creaking or anything annoying, kinda hard to notice. Hinge makes a sound when you open and close it. I do some light gaming as well, and lightroom photo editing so the GPU is a nice bonus. I'm probably one of the few cases where someone actually has a need for a tablet, a 2 in 1 and a laptop all at the same time. I've had this device for a week now and I will be using it for medical school. Thought I'd do a little review of the Surface Book 3. Please look at the bolded edits! could fix your problems too!
